Tropic Arts

A few years ago, I figured it might be a good idea to open an Etsy shop for Tropical Lettering.  I was working with Gabrielle Breakfield of Tropical Lettering but she was leaving for Europe, so I wanted to choose a name that was a little different to distinguish between the two artists, so as to not step on her toes and her already functioning website at tropicallettering.com that sells her wonderful names.

Since then, I've sold dozens of names, and sometimes orders come in during the dry season here, when I most need a little extra spending cash.  I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all my customers!!  It's been so wonderful living the life of an artist, and I wouldn't be able to do it without you guys.

I set this blog up to showcase some of my more commercial work and to show people what I offer for gigs, parties and single orders.

I came to Orlando to pursue an art degree at the University of Central Florida.  I finally finished my degree in 2012.  :)  I earned enough credits for two degrees.. I guess you could say I really liked school.  I took lots of part time classes while also studying at Crealde school of art in Orlando, and took a break to take classes at the Art Students' League in New York City.

I think that's the most I can possibly say about myself at once, so I will leave it there.  Thanks for looking, and being a customer!
